West Acre House - Alnwick offers high quality B&B accommodation in a beautiful Edwardian Villa, with the emphasis very much on a friendly, welcoming, and informal atmosphere. It is very important to us that you feel completely at home. Whether you come for a long stay or a popular short break we will endeavor to make your stay comfortable and relaxed.

Room 1. The Twin bedroom has lots of space and is equipped with all the comforts of home. Two comfortable armchairs, TV, Video and DVD, tea and coffee tray, and one or two little extras with our compliments. The en-suite bathroom has a bath and shower over.

Room 3. The "Oriental bedroom" windows on two sides overlooking the one acre gardens. The room is very spacious and has a very comfortable sofa. Facilities include TV. Video, and DVD, king-size bed and of course some little complimentary extras for you to enjoy. The en-suite bathroom is equipped with bath and shower. The room overlooks the main lawns and shrub borders.


Room 4. The Mahogany bedroom, overlooking the sundial lawn. As above the room is very comfortably furnished with king-size bed, comfortable armchairs, TV, Video and DVD players, and those little complimentary extras. The bathroom has a full shower cubicle but no bath. The room overlooks the sundial lawn to the south of the house.

The Garden Room - is the guest lounge, bright and airy with windows on three sides overlooking the garden. The room is furnished to a very high standard with luxurious high quality comfortable furnishings to help make your stay a relaxing and comfortable experience. The Garden room is available to you throughout your stay.

West Acre House Alnwick, is a lovely example of a well preserved Edwardian Villa, influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement with lots of oak in evidence. It is quietly situated in its own 1 acre garden, in a beautiful leafy suburb on the outskirts of Alnwick. We offer spacious accommodation in 4 very comfortably furnished, country house style en-suite bedrooms. All of the bedrooms are on the 1st floor. We have equipped the bedrooms with TV/video and dvd players, very comfortable beds, and arm chairs, and of course tea and coffee making facilities. Last but not least we have provided very soft bath sheets/towels, and luxury towelling bath robes for you to snuggle up and relax in.
The house is beautifully decorated in "country house style" with a superb 1 acre garden for you to enjoy. There is also a very comfortable Guest Lounge offering you that touch of old fashioned luxury and an abundance of books for you to browse.

Alnwick is in the heart of Northumberland, and close to all Northumberland's attractions. Within a 10 minute walk you can reach the famous Barter Books, one of the largest second hand and antiquarian book sellers in the UK. Or a few hundred yards further on you will reach Alnwick Garden and Alnwick Castle. Within 20 minutes drive you can reach the National Trust's Cragside in Rothbury, or the beautiful Heritage Coastline of Alnwick District. Places of interest are too numerous to mention, but pretty villages to visit on the coast would include - Alnmouth, Warkworth, Craster, Embleton, Low Newton by the Sea. Inland, Rothbury, Hepple, Harbottle and the scenery between Alnwick and Rothbury. The route from Rothbury to Kielder Water is particularly beautiful.
